The BDX Dispute Appeals Process: A Seller's Guide

Even in well-mediated marketplaces, initial dispute rulings can occasionally miss key context or technical details. On BDX.market, sellers and buyers have access to a formal Dispute Appeals System. If an administrator resolves a dispute in favor of the buyer, the losing seller has a strict 24-hour window to submit a formal appeal requesting a secondary executive review.

This guide outlines eligibility rules, guidelines, and practical steps required for sellers to successfully appeal a dispute resolution.

1. Overview of the Appeals System

The BDX dispute appeals feature was introduced to handle high-stakes edge cases, such as delayed key verification, post-resolution account recoveries, or newly discovered delivery evidence.

When a dispute is resolved by an admin:

  • The resolution decision sets an explicit 24-hour appeal deadline.
  • The losing party is granted a single opportunity to submit a formal appeal via the platform.
  • Appeals are reviewed by senior BDX compliance managers in an independent audit workflow.

2. Eligibility & Rules

To file an appeal, a seller must satisfy several strict policy conditions:

Mandatory Rules & Restrictions

  1. Resolved Dispute Required: The dispute must be in a resolved state. Unresolved, open, or pending disputes cannot be appealed.
  2. Losing Party Verification: Only the losing party can file an appeal. If an admin rules in favor of the buyer, only the seller can appeal. If an admin rules in favor of the seller, only the buyer can appeal.
  3. Strict 24-Hour Appeal Window: The request must arrive before the 24-hour appeal deadline expires. Once 24 hours elapse from the resolution timestamp, the appeal window permanently closes.
  4. Single-Appeal Limit: Only one appeal can be submitted per dispute.

3. Submitting an Appeal: Step-by-Step

How to File an Appeal

  1. Navigate to the Dispute Page: Go to your completed order details page and locate the resolved dispute section.
  2. Click Submit Appeal: Locate the Appeal Resolution button (available only within 24 hours of resolution).
  3. Provide Fresh Evidence: Write a detailed explanation (between 20 and 2,000 characters) detailing why the decision should be reviewed. Include fresh verifiable proof, such as publisher API validation logs, activation screenshots, or server transfer confirmations.
  4. Submit for Review: Click Submit Appeal. Senior compliance managers receive an alert to inspect the appeal package.

4. Senior Review & Appeal Outcomes

Once an appeal is submitted, a senior administrator evaluates the claim alongside original order records, dispute chat transcripts, and newly provided appeal evidence.

Potential Appeal Rulings

A. Appeal Accepted

If the senior admin determines the initial ruling was incorrect or that new evidence proves complete delivery:

  • Financial Reversal: If funds were previously refunded to the buyer from escrow, BDX platform adjustments credit the seller's wallet balance.
  • Order Status Update: The dispute decision is updated to reflect seller vindication.
  • Store Metrics Restoration: Any warning flags or trust score deductions associated with the dispute are removed.

B. Appeal Rejected

If the appeal fails to present valid new evidence or repeats original arguments:

  • Finality: The initial ruling remains permanently binding.
  • No Further Recourse: No additional appeals can be submitted for the order.

5. Guidelines for Writing a Winning Appeal

Appeals are evaluated strictly on facts and verifiable proof. Sellers filing an appeal should follow these guidelines:

  1. Do Not Simply Repeat Original Claims: An appeal that merely restates the initial dispute response without new data will be rejected.
  2. Provide Verifiable Third-Party Evidence: Include direct links to publisher key-check tools, inventory history, or official game server logs showing item possession by the buyer.
  3. Highlight Procedural Issues: If the initial decision was made because a deadline was missed due to a documented system issue, state this clearly with timestamps.
  4. Keep Descriptions Clear & Professional: Focus on timestamps, transaction IDs, key formats, and platform rules. Avoid emotional language or accusations.
